Terms of Use
Last updated: 11 October 2026
These terms govern your use of the Nawtara app and nawtara.com ("Nawtara"). Nawtara is provided by Soufiane Bouziane (Softadev), Morocco ("we"). By using Nawtara you accept these terms.
1. The service
Nawtara reads sheet music from photos, scans and PDFs, including Arabic quarter tones, and turns it into a playable score for study and practice.
2. Your content
You keep all rights to what you upload. Upload only material you have the right to use. You allow us to store and process your uploads only to provide the service, for as long as they are kept.
3. Copyright complaints
If you believe material processed by Nawtara infringes your rights, write to [email protected]. We will act promptly.
4. Accuracy
Automatic reading can make mistakes. Nawtara marks uncertain bars and lets you correct them. Check results against the original.
5. Acceptable use
Do not break the law, harm the service, bypass its limits, use it by automated means, or resell it. We may suspend use that breaks these terms.
6. Licence
The app is licensed, not sold. You receive a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use it on devices you own or control, under these terms and the store's usage rules. Open-source components are covered by their own licences, listed at nawtara.com/open-source.
7. Pages and purchases
- Reading a sheet uses pages; one sheet page is one page. New users receive free pages. Corrections, exports and playback are free, and a failed reading returns its pages.
- The yearly subscription gives Pro features and a monthly page allowance. It renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period. Payment is charged to your store account; manage or cancel it in your store settings.
- The lifetime purchase gives Pro features and a monthly page allowance for as long as Nawtara is offered.
- Page packs are one-time purchases and do not expire while Nawtara is offered.
- Allowances reset on the first day of each month (UTC) and do not carry over.
- Prices are shown before purchase and may vary by country.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
- Scores you have made remain playable whatever your plan.
8. Changes to the service
We may change or discontinue features. If the service ends, we will give 60 days' notice in the app and stop renewals.
9. No warranty
To the extent permitted by law, Nawtara is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Nawtara in the previous twelve months. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
11. App stores
If you obtained the app from the App Store, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula) also applies. If you obtained it from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply. Where these terms and the store's terms differ, the store's terms prevail for matters they cover.
12. Termination
You may stop using Nawtara at any time. Sections 2, 4, 9, 10 and 13 survive.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Morocco. Disputes go to the competent Moroccan courts, unless your local consumer law gives you the right to use your own courts.
14. Changes to these terms
We will update this page and its date, and notify you in the app of important changes.
